Trinity was honored to host our annual Veterans Day celebration on Thursday, November 18th. We welcomed our guest speaker Retired Chief Petty Officer, Jeremy McKeage. He was born and raised in Sweet Springs, MO. He enlisted in 2000 in the Coast Guard, and went to boot camp between his junior and senior year.
Jeremy served in the Reserves that year until he graduated high school in Sweet Springs in 2001. From there he went to engineering school in Virginia, and then started his first duty station in Seward, Alaska. After two years, he transferred to Omaha, Nebraska. While there, he married Erin Tieman. Over the next years Jeremy served over seas in Bahrain, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Georgia, Florida, back to Alaska, and Texas. He finished his 21 years of service in Homer, Alaska. Jeremy retired in July 2021 and he and Erin moved back to Blackburn.
In addition to Chief Petty Officer McKeage, the celebration was attended by many other veterans. Trinity is thankful for our Veterans. May God bless all those who serve our country, and those that support them!
